FreeACS

Features

Every plan gets every feature, including the free one.

Available now

Devices register themselves

Set one ACS URL, username and password on every device, or push them from your OLT. Each device appears in your list on its first check-in, keyed by serial number.

Change WiFi names and passwords

Pick a radio, type a new name or password, save. FreeACS writes every passphrase path the data model uses, so firmware that honours only one still changes.

Reboot and factory reset

From the device page, with a confirm step before a factory reset.

Commands in seconds, not hours

FreeACS gives each device its own Connection Request login and knocks when you queue a command. Devices it cannot reach collect commands at their next check-in, every 15 minutes.

TR-098 and TR-181

The data model is read from the first Inform, so InternetGatewayDevice and Device trees both work. CWMP 1.0 to 1.4.

HTTPS and plain HTTP

HTTPS for current firmware, plain HTTP for devices whose TLS is too old for a modern certificate. Digest authentication on both, with signed nonces that cannot be replayed.

Readings without asking

Model, firmware, uptime, WAN address, PPPoE username, WiFi networks and connected clients, refreshed once a day and whenever you press Refresh.

Online and offline status

A device that misses three check-ins in a row shows as offline, and comes back online at its next Inform.

Coming soon

Firmware upgrades

Upload firmware per model and push it to one device or a rollout, with retries and TransferComplete tracking.

Bulk actions and tags

Tag devices, filter by model, firmware and status, and reboot or refresh a whole selection.

Provisioning presets

Set WiFi, PPPoE and the check-in interval automatically when a new device first checks in.

Diagnostics

Ping, traceroute, download and upload tests, WiFi neighbour scans, and fibre signal with history.

Offline alerts

An email when a device goes offline, and another when it comes back.

Team members and API

Invite teammates with roles, and manage devices from your own systems with API tokens.
